L's New House and B Christmas Celebration

On Friday, we helped the former owner and her
parents move her things out of the house and
into a U-Haul.
M and Grandma at M's new house. Lots of cleaning
first thing.

M's new bed room.

Living room.

Kitchen.

M opening a present with Dad, A and Grandma
watching.

L in Mom's lap. Watch that dog, he looks hungry!

Dave showing M his train set up.

After the party we all got busy moving the L's from our house
down the street and into their new home.
Saturday night, 12-29, was their first night in the new house.

Christmas Morning

We had a very quiet Christmas morning.
M is checking out some of his booty.
Please notice our roaring fire.
Don't get too close M!

I Had To Share

This is a picture that L gave to me
for my birthday.

She also gave MJ and I this picture
for Christmas. Thanks L!

Christmas Eve At The R's

M getting up from a pre-festivity nap.
Homemade crab cheese.
A huge bowl of homemade veggie stir fry.
Everyone enjoyed the pork ribs at the smorgasbord,
so we prepared 2 more racks this evening.
The ribs are very easy. Seasoned with ground ginger,
kosher salt and black pepper. Lay out on sheet tray
and bake at 375ºF for about 1 1/2 hours, can't
be beaten.
M assists with passing out the presents. He was
dressed very informally for the occassion due to
a recurring fever the past few days. Serious teething
(molars breaking through the gums) and the
remains of an ear infection didn't dampen
his spirits too much this evening!
Em holds up a new Swedish wall hanging from,
Hemslojd, Inc. They've got some real nice
Scandinavian gifts.
"All of these gifts are making me dizzy".
J opens a gift card.
M can't get enough of L.
M checking out his first video game. It's a plug
and play Sesame Street game. Looked pretty
good on the flat screen.
M playing with his new interactive toy, a nice M
sized flash light.
Michael got new attire to wear to the YMCA.

M enjoying his new Swedish wall hanging.
Feliz Navidad Everyone!

Smorgasbord, Enough Said?

L couldn't wait for the festivities to get started.
M was our Commi Chef. He likes being
in the kitchen when things are going on.
And..he can whip up a pretty nice egg
for an omelet.
The fish course.

The fish course, different angle.
The money coarse, the hot one. Swedish meatball,
lutefisk and dijon bechamel, potato sausage, pork ribs.

M entertaining.
Mom, after lots of hard work.
M handing out presents.

Our drive home was terrible. Near whiteouts from
time to time and icey under the new snow.
This is a view from our back door this morning.

MJ and I and Sunday

Em took this picture last night/evening before
MJ and I left for Lowell and a dinner with some
work friends in honor of Dan Wolz.

M had a very bad night last night. His Mom and
Dad took him to Spectrum ER this morning to
have him checked out. He is OK, except for
an ear infection. The following are pictures of
M this afternoon. He is a strong young man.

St. Lucia Day

We didn't make our Lucia buns until the afternoon
of St. Lucia Day. Started on the dough after work.
Then let the dough wait a little longer than normal
while MJ and G delivered presents, given by St.
Andrew's Cathedral, to three family's.

The wrapped container in the background hold
the frosting, powdered sugar, a touch of butter,
milk and almond extract.

Michael's Birthday Treat

Michael's birthday treat this year was long johns
from the American Bakery on Bridge St.

Coffee Addiction Test, Sort Of

An overly simple test, but fun anyway. I'm 73% addicted.

They had a nice little ad attached to this link, very tricky.

Saturday Fun At Our House

The view from our kitchen window. I have been
waiting a long time to see my Grandson in our
backyard like this.

M's first ride on a sled!

M cup still life.

The top of our refer. M loves chayotes.

After eating some chicharon and salsa caliente, M
enjoys a non-alcoholic sangria, bottoms up.
