Thursday

At the end of the day, M gets a special treat.

We had Soren with us today. Jill, M, Soren
and Gregg went to the zoo. Kind of chilly and wet,
but we still had fun. Marcos slept for about the
last half hour of our visit.

On the way home we picked up a snack, then
Soren and Gregg hit the Van Dangle museum.

M didn't show any signs of post trip funk.

We didn't get any good pictures while we were out
today.

Misc. Pictures From Sunday

Look Whoes Havin' Lunch At Grandma And Grandpa's

M came to our house to let his Mom and
Dad get things straightened out at their house.
He's looking pretty tired while he ate and didn't
like his quick bath much.
He was literally asleep before Jill laid him down.

Welcome back and sleep tight little chef.

Saturday At The Robinsons

L, realization hits, Grandpa Robinson is nuts!

Homemade focaccia day today.

Jill and Mary Jane unloading top soil.

L had lots of fresh air today, the air temp
reached mid 60's, and Grandpa gave her a workout.
She was put down un-taco'd, and moved around,
placing her feet up on the back of the sofa, then
fell asleep.

Frogs in the garden

Gregg took these shots on two different days this week while I was in Detroit. He was amazed at the change in color of the two stone frogs from Morelia. The frogs are simple folk carvings out of the commonly seen pink volcanic stone native to that part of Mexico. Many, many 15th century buildings use this stone as well.

You get a glimpse here of Hillary's "share-cropping" garden in the foreground. In anticipation of selling the Iriquois St. house, she had moved some treasured plants to a small plot in my garden for safe keeping. Beth and Hillary are determined to find a place in the Detroit area this week, so hopefully the plants will soon have a new home; if not, we'll enjoy their additional color in our garden for a while.

Mexico Vids

Em, is this a parade or a protest?

More of Mexico

Fixing a bike rim with Grandpa this morning. We're having a great time with family and friends, though Marcos seems to be missing Michigan and his routine quite a bit. It's really HOT here right now, but we're staying our cool selves.
Checo with Migue his best friend at the market.
In the wheelbarrow in front of the house on the way to the Sat. market up the neighborhood.
With cousins eating cookies. It was hot and M was shirtless.
M takes bus riding very seriously.
Trying on shoes. They were very cute, but we didn't get them. M was more interested in playing on the steps.
Waiting for the bus in front of the house.

Altar for Grandma Lopez.
M, dog, backyard at Grandma and Grandpa's house. That's the story of this visit!
